I spent today seeing some of the sights of Rome. It is about a 20 minute walk from my hotel to the Vatican, so that is the direction I took off in first thing this morning. My walk took me by the Piazza dei Triunali - a large building that is apparently undergoing some work.

Next I came upon the Castel Sant’ Angelo, which I could not go into because apparently it is closed on Mondays.

The last thing I came across of interest is the Vatican, I didn’t go in... the line was already REALLY long. I did have plenty of time to sit in front of the Basilica and take in just how large and ornate the building and surrounding area are.

I plan on going back to the Vatican and Castel Sant’ Angelo so that I may actually go into them!
