I have spent the last two days in Paris, France. My hotel is right around the corner from the Louvre, which was a real treat. I walked over there several times to check out the museum and frequent the shops on the sub-floor level. I also walked down to the Eiffel tower... since that is iconic Paris.

I have had no problem communicating with people here. Everyone has been pleasant enough, in spite of what I was told be everyone.

Overall it has been a nice experience (make sure to check out the new photos).
