The Longest Day EVER

The last post brought us up to the point where I was on the plane flying to Munich, Germany. The eight and a half hour flight was actually fairly comfortable, at least more so than I expected based on what I have heard from others. We arrived to Munich at about 8 a.m. local time, waited, boarded a bus, waited, got to Lindau. We then checked in and had the rest of the afternoon (by this time it was about 1 p.m.) to ourselves. I walked around a bit, and the lack of sleep was really starting to wear on me, so I ate at a pizza/kabob shop (to me that seems like a weird combination, but there is at least one more shop that combines those two cuisines on this island). At that point a hung around the hotel room, trying to keep myself awake. When I finally passed out I had been up for more than 30 hours!
Let’s hope that will serve to reset my internal clock and keep me from a bad case of jet-lag.
